in Santa Barbara Unified School District for 3 years.

I love reading and am never far from a book. I am a word nerd!
And I love math, at least until it gets too hard!

Our Services
My preference is 45 minutes sessions
In my experience, concentrating hard for a full hour is difficult!

Each session will follow approximately this formula:
5 minutes - set goals and expectations
5 minutes - warm-up
30 minutes - focused teaching of new concepts
5 minutes - review (and homework!)
​
I also know that working with a student 2-3 times per week is really beneficial to gaining and retaining skills and confidence!

1 x 45 mins per week
Progress will be a little slower, with more reliance on homework and help from parents, but this is a good starting off point, especially for students close to grade level, or who just do a lot of other activities!

2 x 45 mins per week
Twice weekly sessions allow us to conquer new skills in a steady manner. There is still reliance on homework to build on new concepts and keep momentum up. This is a good middle ground for everyone!

Meeting three times per week gives students the most opportunity for growth, without being too draining on their brains or your wallet!
